Ride for Black Lives is a 12-mile bike ride organized by Arlington for Justice to: 
  • Call attention to racial injustice and the need for criminal justice reform in Arlington
  • Celebrate Black resilience. 


Tickets for this year's ride are on a SLIDING SCALE.

Sliding Scale:
 people pay as they are able to for events. Those with access to more resources pay more and thus provide the cushion for those with less access to pay less, creating a sustainable economic underpinning for the events. This is to make the ride more accessible to the

RIDE ROUTE:

   

Set-Up / Breakdown - Pre-Event: on-site unloading of supplies, gear and equipment, setting up tables and stations, social-distance markings and signage; Post-Event: clean up of trash, breakdown of tables and stations, collecting and reloading of unused supplies, gear and equipment
First-Aid - On-site station: set-up, operate and monitor first-aid needs during 3-hour event; Mobile First-Aid: accompany 5k Walk participants and attend to any first-aid needs that arise during that portion of the event
Covid Compliance - On-Site: monitor participants during sign-in and pre-5k period and remind them of Covid safety requirements as needed; Mobile Covid Compliance: accompany 5k Walk participants and attend to any Covid compliance reminders that arise during that portion of the event
Bike Marshals - accompany ride participants and help maintain a perimeter and flow of the group at large (yellow safety vests will be available)
